Not so long ago, earlier in the year, the iPad was launched by Apple inc. If you recall correctly; there was a New York Times Editor’s Choice app that debuted just alongside the iPad’s launch.
With that detail settled, the super-charged NYTimes for iPad was just released today, with lots of people describing the results as an ideal newspaper-to-tablet port. What is the major difference? This app is actually the entire New York Times, delivered to your iPad free of charge for duly registered member of the site. The good thing about this is that it is accomplished at no charge to the user.
The new application is expected to bring over 25 sections of content of the NewYork Times to readers for free. However, this joyous fun will be short lived because The Times plans to launch a pay model by next year after which, you’d have to pay for the NYTimes contents. And when this wall finally goes up, the app will then require a paid subscription.
My advice? Please do enjoy it while it lasts.
